Communicorp, a subsidiary of Aflac, Inc., announced today that the company has once again been listed among the “Best of the Best” in the Printing Industries of America’s “Best Workplace in the Americas” competition for 2012. This makes the tenth year that Communicorp has earned the “Best of the Best” designation.
The Best Workplace in the Americas program enables companies to compare its human relations programs and policies to other companies in the graphic arts industry and was created specifically to honor printing companies that provide a superior work environment.
Commenting on the recognition from PIA and industry peers, Communicorp President and Aflac Senior Vice President of Business Services Eric Seldon said, “Providing a great place to work is part of the commitment we make to our team members here at Communicorp. We are committed to taking care of our team members, as they in turn take care of the business.”
In selecting Communicorp for this honor, judges evaluated eight criteria, including management practices; work environment; training and development opportunities; financial security; workplace health and safety; work-life balance; recognition and rewards; and health and wellness programs.
“Since 2000, the best-workplace program has recognized industry leaders from small, medium and large firms in the graphic arts industry for their outstanding human- relations practices,” said Jim Kyger, assistant VP of HR for Printing Industries. “While every company that entered this year’s competition has HR programs they should be proud of, the best-workplace program recognizes outstanding accomplishment. It stands out as one of the most stringent HR awards programs available today in any industry.”
A total of 13 companies received the coveted “Best of the Best” designation, while 23 earned “Best Workplace” honors. Communicorp is the only company in Georgia to be named to the list.
