Communicorp, a subsidiary of Aflac, Inc., announced today that the company has been listed among the Printing Industries of America’s “Best Workplace in the Americas” designation in the ‘Best of the Best’ category for 2011. The award, created specifically to honor printing companies that provide a superior work environment, the Best Workplace in the Americas program enables companies to compare its human relations programs and policies to other companies in the graphic arts industry.
“Communicorp is fortunate to have great talent nurtured by the strict adherence to the philosophy of our parent company, Aflac—that says if you take care of your employees, they’ll take care of your business,” Communicorp President and Senior Vice President of Business Services Eric Seldon said. “This commitment to our employees has made Communicorp a great place to work, which helps sustain our business continuity and employee retention.”
In selection Communicorp for this honor, judges evaluated eight criteria, including management practices; work environment; training and development opportunities; financial security; workplace health and safety; work-life balance; recognition and rewards; and health and wellness programs.
“While every company that entered this year’s competition has HR programs they should be proud of, the Best Workplace Program recognizes outstanding accomplishment,” says Jim Kyger, assistant vice president of Human Resources for Printing Industries. “The program is an excellent way to give employers instituting innovative yet cost-effective HR programs the recognition they deserve.”
Communicorp is one of only 14 winners named in the “Best of the Best” category. It is the eleventh time that Communicorp has occupied a place on the Best Workplace in the America’s list.
