Communicorp, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aflac, Incorporated, has been chosen by the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) for their coveted designation “Best of the Best” for 2007, this year’s award marking the sixth consecutive year that it has been so honored. The award is part of the Best Workplace in the Americas program and is bestowed annually to a small and select group of organizations within the PIA/GATF membership.
PIA/GATF is headquartered in Sewickly, Pennsylvania and is the world’s largest graphic arts trade association. The “Best of the Best” represent the very finest in an industry that currently employs more than one million people in over 12,000 member companies. Communicorp has been recognized by PIA/GATF for the past eight years of one of the Best Workplaces in the Americas. Inclusion in this honor, as well as the “Best of the Best,” is made at the recommendation of a panel of highly respected human resource professionals. Applicants were judged on eight criteria: Management Practices; Work Environment; Training and Development Opportunities; Financial Security; Workplace Health and Safety; Work-Life Balance; Recognition and Awards; and Health and Wellness Programs.
Michael Makin, President and CEO of PIA/GATF, states that “Best of the Best winners routinely exhibit the highest commitment to success in many ways, but particularly through their employees. Congratulations to Communicorp!”
James Woodall, Communicorp’s President and CEO, added that “Communicorp is proud and honored to have been recognized by its industry peers as a leader in human relations practices. Our team members are enormously important to us as not only as contributing employees but as individuals and as our Communicorp family. An honor for Communicorp is a tribute to our entire team.”
